Mystical Walpurgis Night
Every year on 30 April, witches fly into the Harz Mountains from all directions on broomsticks and pitchforks to join forces with the devil. Each town celebrates this traditional festival differently – but they all have one thing in common: laughter, dancing and celebrations until dawn.

Discover Hahnenklee and the surrounding area on two wheels at the 3rd HarzerBikeDays in Hahnenklee! Look forward to guided (e-)mountain bike tours, a downhill enduro race and great entertainment with live music and much more. Further information can be found here.

Summer holidays | Experience an active summer
A colourful programme is offered during the summer holidays. Forest adventure tours for the whole family, children's treasure hunts and puppet theatre are just some of the many activities on offer. One of the highlights is the annual summer festival in the spa gardens on the last Saturday in July.

Summer festival
Every year on the last Saturday in July, the summer festival takes place in the Hahnenklee spa gardens and promises lots of fun and good cheer for young and old alike with a varied programme of events. The finale and highlight is the impressive ‘Rendezvous of the Stars’ fireworks display over the spa pond, in which the lights are impressively reflected – you don't want to miss it, do you?

10 Ponds Marathon | Become a conqueror of altitude!
The marathon around Hahnenklee is taking place for the twelfth time. In addition to the sporting challenge, runners are also attracted by the special scenic surroundings. During the run, participants pass ten ponds in the area, which are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘Upper Harz Water Management System’. You can find the current flyer here.

7th Hahnenklee Hiking Marathon | Sporty or enjoyable
Become a marathon hiker! Two wonderful loops take you 42 km through the beautiful countryside around Hahnenklee. The start and finish point is Paul-Lincke-Platz in Rathausstraße in Hahnenklee, where toilets and refreshments are provided. If you don't want to hike the full 42 km (yet), you can also register for the half or beginner's marathon or the mini marathon. These routes also promise unique scenery. Fairytale Weeks | Once upon a time in the Harz Mountains...
Let yourself be transported to a time full of magic and mysticism and experience once again how Frau Holle herself shakes the winter out of the pillows, or suffer along with the princess who has to sleep on the pea. The youngest residents of Hahnenklee-Bockswiese and the surrounding area, as well as all our holidaying children, are warmly invited to join us when princes and witches come to stay in Hahnenklee for two weeks.
